LITTLE MARIES is a San Diego based company dedicated to creating bibs and accessories for children that are cool, functional, and easy to wear, and that stimulate a child's constantly developing mind with bright colors and patterns. LITTLE MARIES products are affordable, singular, and handmade, and are perfect gifts for baby showers and for hip young parents.

LITTLE MARIES was founded and is run by two young mothers in San Diego. We started LITTLE MARIES because we were tired of using the standard boring, colorless bibs and shoulder diapers.

When we would eat with company or go to a restaurant it was embarrassing to pull out and strap the yellow stained rags to our babies and ourselves, especially when our babies were in their best outfits. We noticed that in addition to being boring, the bib and burp cloth selections most stores offer were not very absorbent.

We wanted bibs that were softer, more absorbent, and that would camouflage the inevitable stains. We wanted bibs that would stop the grape juice from getting on our clothes. We wanted all this AND a sense of style.

We did some sewing and, as importantly, some research; we found that bright colors, in addition to delivering some excitement to a wardrobe, can also help stimulate a baby's growing brain.

So, after outfitting our own children, we started giving our bibs and burp cloths to friends and family. After much encouragement and many baby showers later, we decided that we could help other mothers out there who were running into the same problem.

Our "bright idea" was born. We decided to call our business LITTLE MARIES (named after our little girls who share the name.) Our mission is to make bibs fashionable, functional and, in the process, maybe make the world a bit brighter.

In addition to offering great options for bibs we decided it would be great if kids had matching burp clothes, pants, baby tees and even security blankets.

All of our products are handmade (making each one unique) and will fit most children up to 3 years old. We offer gift-wrapping when you order online as well as bulk-buying discounts. We also do custom work and monogramming.
